Course Schedule and Allocation
Techniques, Training, and Practice – 100 hours
This is where you’ll dive deep into asana practice, alignment, pranayama, meditation, and the philosophy of Bhakti yoga. We emphasize hands on practice and self study to ensure you fully absorb these ancient teachings.


Teaching Methodology – 25 hours
You willl learn how to structure and lead yoga classes, from asana sequencing to guiding meditation and pranayama. We will also focus on how to convey the philosophy of yoga in an accessible way to your future students.
Anatomy and Physiology – 20 hours
Understanding the human body is key to teaching yoga safely and effectively. You will study the anatomy of asanas, how different bodies move, and how to modify poses for all levels.
Delve into traditional yogic texts and learn how to integrate these teachings into your daily life. You will also be introduced to the basics of Ayurveda and yoga therapy, offering a holistic view of health and wellness.
Yoga Philosophy and Lifestyle – 30 hours
Practice and Self Study – 25 hours
Time will be allocated for group discussions, individual study, assignments, and exams to help you retain and apply what you’ve learned.

Daily Hatha Yoga classes with practice and study of asanas, pranayama, mantras and meditation.
Study of 108 asanas in detail with alignment, contraindications, physical and spiritual benefits, counter and follow up poses and modifications.
Daily theory classes on yoga philosophy.
Daily theory and practical classes in anatomy and physiology.
Modern, dynamic and creative Yoga Therapy classes.
Methodology of teaching to prepare your classes professionally.
Start to teach classes to the group and outside guests during the course, with direct feedback.
Kirtans (singing meditation) and sound healing techniques.
Sharing circles with the group.
Games for group bonding and deepening of yoga knowledge.
Karma Yoga (either at Blue Indigo or at a pagoda).
Opening and closing ceremony with Buddhist monks.

How to theme and teach a Hatha class with c reative sequencing
Different breathing and meditation techniques.
Principles and philosophy of yoga (Patanjali Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika).
The energy layers, energy channels and chakras of the body.
Traditional Ayurveda theory classes.
Yogic cleansing methods: Jala Neti, Tratak, Shankhaprakshalana and Kapalbhati.
Anatomy for a safe yoga practice for different types of bodies.
How to read the body of your students in a pose and how to adjust them safely, help them to get deeper in the poses.
How to connect with your students and how to use your voice during the class.
Yoga therapy principles for yourself and your students.
How to modify the poses for your student’s needs with a chair and other props.
Chanting and meanings of mantras
During this course, you will learn the fundamentals of yoga , from asana clinic to yoga philosophy and body anatomy, with a deep focus on teaching methodologies and techniques.
We will prepare you to become an independent fully qualified yoga teacher.
After the course, you can become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance International.
Everyone is welcome to join this course , no matter your age or which yoga level you have! Although we will be preparing you to become a qualified yoga teacher, you might also pick this course for your own practice and self-growth. The teachers will make sure to focus on each of the student’s needs and progress.
